MOTIVATION

I'm a professional photographer and I designed this to support tethered shooting with the X2D II 100c in a studio situation. My first design for the X2D-100c was successful so I decided to create this one for the Mark II, which is very similar. Note that this protector will cover the port for the remote shutter release which is a new feature, but if you are tethering you are probably controlling from the computer anyway. The images are for reference and the listing does not include the pictured camera or cable. 

OVERVIEW

This cable guard is for use on the new Hasselblad X2DII-100c. It is 3d printed in high quality PET-G plastic and will protect your camera's USB-C port and keep your cable from coming loose. This tethering solution snaps on to the shoulder strap lug and then screws into a block that holds the usb cable. The cable clamp is held in place with a set screw and it's strong enough that I can lift the camera by the cable. It should fit most plugs that do not have a 90 degree angle. Other plug sizes will fit by adjusting the included metal grub screw which will help to keep smaller plugs tight and centered in the opening. I'm including a second block that fits plugs from TetherTools very snugly. I'm two set screws with a knurled knob that can be tightened by hand. Please note: the video was made for a previous version, but it still works the same way so I'm leaving it here for reference.
